1. Lee DeWyze – I was awed by his performance! I'd love to hear him do some Bob Seger stuff.

2. Crystal Bowersox – Perfect song choice!

3. Michael Lynche – I melted in my seat while listening to his song!

4, Casey James- This rocker can do no wrong and looks good doing it.

5. Aaron Kelly – Tell me again this kid is only sixteen!

6. Katie Stevens- I found the vocals wonderful but the performance boring.

7. Tim Urban – I actually liked his song choice tonight but would never buy the recording.

8. Siobhan Magnus-Lady, loose the scream at least for awhile! Her vocals were really off tonight.

9. Andrew Garcia – The judges like him better than I did.

10. Didi Benami – Bye Bye, Didi, you blew it big time.

My early predition for the top three in the end is Lee Dewyze, Crystal Bowersox, and Michael Lynche. I think Casey will have no problem breaking into the big time no matter where he places.

Lee DeWyze – “The Letter” by Box Tops
Paige Miles – “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins
Tim Urban – “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen
Aaron Kelly – “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith
Crystal Bowersox – “Me and Bobby McGee” by Janis Joplin
Michael Lynche – “When A Man Loves A Woman” by Michael Bolton
Andrew Garcia – “Heard It Through The Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye
Katie Stevens – “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie
Casey James – “Power of Love” by Huey Lewis & The News
Didi Benami – “You’re No Good” by Linda Ronstadt
Siobhan Magnus – “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder

As you all certainly know by now, Paige Miles is now on her way home. Her performance was awful, in fact, tonight she sounded much better. Of course, that doesn't count.
Here are my rankings for this weeks top eleven.

11. Paige Miles tried to sing the Phil Collins classic Against All Odds. She finished dead last and the odds were not in her favor tonight. Bye Paige!

10. Andrew Garcia got tangled in the grapevine when he tried to handle Marvin Gayes I heard It Through The Grapevine. It sounded like he may have ingested a few fermented grapes before he took the stage.

9. Tim Urban was nuts to try to come anywhere near Freddy Mercury of Queeen with his boring rendition of Crazy Little Thing Called Love. The most exciting part of the perfomance came when he slid on his knees down the stage ramp and I perked up hoping he's disappear into the crowd.

8. Dedi Benami didn't sound good to me when she belted out You're No Good by Linda Ronstadt. She was lucky there were three I found worse than her last night.
7. Michael Lynche, I still love ya, but When a Man Loves a Woman by Michael Bolton has been done better. Big Mike is still one of my favorites for top three when all is said and done.

6. Casey James lacked some power with the Huey Lewis song Power of Love, but sounded better than ol' Huey ever did.

5. Katie Stevens didn't make me cry when I listened to her sing Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie. It is just that I don't like the song, I guess.

4.Lee Dewyze had his best and most outgoing performance Tuesday night when he did The Letter by The Box Tops. He definitely is in his niche with this type of music.
3.Aaron Kelly didn't miss by much with Aerosmyth's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. If he can sing like that with tonsilitis, he's gonna be one of my top three at the end.

2. Siobhan Magness outdid Stevie with Superstition. But, like Simon, I think she needs to give that very on pitch scream note a rest for a couple of weeks.

1. Crystal Bowersox not only has Bobby Mcgee trailing after her, I am, too. She is from Ohio just about thirty miles from here but that is not why I like her. I LOVE her because she is the most real thing since Coca Cola! JUanis Joplin is standing up giving her a big thumbs up!

Week 1 rankings and songs review

What The Final Twelve sang last night and how I rank them

1. Siobhan Magness sang Paint it Black and it was anything BUT black. Fine performance!

2. Aaron Kelly made me want to be Angie

3. Crystal Bowersox sang You Can't Always Get What You Want She definitely gave me what I wanted!

4. Katie Stevens' Wild Horses could not have dragged me away!

5. Casey James sang It's All Over Now and I do believe it is not yet over for him!

6. Michael Lynche sang Miss You. He did a great job singing it but the arrangement missed me 100%

7. Paige Miles sang and this Honkey Tonk Woman wanted to get up and dance!

8. Lee Dewyze could not get his Beast of Burden to haul in praise from the judges but I liked it!

9. Didi Benami sang Play With Fire and it the wick fizzled out in a total crash and burn

10.Lacey Brrown sang Ruby Tuesday and I am hoping for a Lacy-less Tuesday next week

11.Tim Urban did catastrophic version of Under My Thumb. Tim, you better get your thumb ready to hitch a ride home pretty soon!

12. Andrew Garcia sang Gimme Shelter and I RAN for shelter! AWFUL! Tim and Andrew could leave on the same bus and I would not shed a tear.

Rolling With The Stones

I was so looking forward to this week, being such a Rolling Stones fan...but alas, The Final Twelve made most of the songs unrecognizable to me. I know...they are supposed to make the songs their own and change up the arrangements and such. But being a Rolling Stones purist, the changes were almost too much for me to bear!

Aaron Kelly gets a Rolling round of applause from me for his performance of Angie! Angie would have loved it!

Unfortunately Andrew Garcia getting Stoned for his.

Casey James Rocked it for me again tonight,

Along with Crystal Bowersox! What an awesome performance!

Dedi Binami was again only average for me. She has a voice and can't figure out where to go with it!

Katie Stevens brought all kinds of color to my life with her rendition of Paint It Black!

Unfortunately, I am still not liking Lacey Brown. The performance was boring.

Lee DeWyze has been a favorite of mine with his gravel laden voice, and he sure sounded good to me again.

MIchel Lynche would have to really be terrible for me not to give him his props, but tonight's performance didn't do anything for me but to hear a really cool song not the way I liked it done. Michael, I still love ya, man!

Paige Miles rode in on her country style and really lassoed my appreciation for her and her voice.

Siobhan can do no wrong. HOW does she hit some of those notes!

Tim Urban should be rolled under a stone after what he did on stage tonight. Timmy baby, you are not too cute to hit the road, fellah!

I think either Tim Urban or Andrew Garcia will be waving bye bye after tomorrow's results show.

Down to the final twelve!

Now that all the hoopapamowmow is over and we are down to the final twelve, I am ready to begin this years assessment of American Idol.

Tonights results show left me somewhat disappointed but the ones that went today would have gone soon had the ones I wanted to go today went. What did I say? Who cares!

This year I really like Big Mike as my favorite guy and of course, Crystal Bowersox as my favorite girl. This weeks' performances favored the guys IMO.

I think Andrew Garcia should have gone instead of Todrick. Had Alex Lambert been more confident I would have loved for him to have stayed.

Todrick Hall did Sombody to Love by Queen last night and I thought it was amazing. He was definity somebody I loved!

Alex Lambert did Trouble and I also liked that performance. But his trouble continued and he is now on his way home.

They are both gone now.

This Woman's Work by Michael Lynche was untoppable! Loved it. He definitely did a man's job!

Tim Urban's Hallelujah was exceptional, but Tim is inconsistant and could be gone next week. He is adorable, though.

I don't know if Lee Dewyze's Fireflies was his best but I love that guys growling vocals. The dude definitely lights MY fire!

I, like Kara, have a thing for Casey James but thought his rendition of You'll Think of Me was not his best performance. But I will still think of him (without his shirt, preferably)

Aaron Kelly is pretty cool for his age (16) and I love his pipes. He can sing that country! He did I'm Already There. And I was there for the whole thing!

Andrew Garcia did Genie in a Bottle and his picking girl songs is getting old for me. I think he may be out of wishes.

Now the girls.

Katlyn Epperly did I Feel The Earth Move and it moved her right out of the running. I think she lacked personality.

Lilly Scott did I Fall To Pieces and she fell right out of the running, though I did expect her to stay around for awhile. She bugged me but I loved her unique voice.

Crystal Bowersox knocked my socks off again when she sang Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman. She gave me a reason to like her even more!

Siobhan Magness did House of the Rising Sun, but didn't quite shine. It was better than the rest, though.

Katie Stephens Breakaway broke my heart and hurt my ears.

Lacey Brown sang The Story and I wish it had been her last page.

Didi Benami did Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac and I had hoped it would have been more fleeting.

Paige Miles did Smile and made me frown.

All in all, the girls sucked, except for Crystal Bowersox.

Next week will be songs by The Rolling Stones and I am PUMPED!

There ya have it!
